NAOM 2010 Photo Contest Rules
- OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this competition
is to encourage, recognize, reward and disseminate creativity
in the art of photography, show new looks on the people and heritage
of Crato and present other points of view over the NAOM 2010.
- TARGETS
- This competition is targetted at all non-professional photographers.
- Cannot participate in the competition: jury members or
with a direct link with Grupo Desportivo 4 Caminhos.
- DURATION AND THEME
- The photographs must have been obtained during the
North Alentejo "O" Meeting 2010 which runs from 19 to 21 February 2010.
- Specific Theme - "NAOM 2010".
Despite an already long tradition in the way
some of our best photographers have portrayed the event in
previous editions, this contest aims to give greater visibility
and reach to the North Alentejo "O" Meeting Trophy in their most
various facets, under the watchful eye of a greater number of people.
- REGISTRATION
- Registration is free.
The images submitted must be unpublished and original and can not
incorporate elements produced by other people.
- Because of enrollment,
Participant warrants that:
- Agree and accept these
Rules;
- States that is the author of
submitted works.
- For the purposes of this Competition
is meant by:
- Unpublished Photograph - One that
was not previously disclosed in any way, not even through
private Web pages or similar formulas;
- Stock or Original Image
- What, for its completion, was only the author's work,
- Bidder and / or Participant
- The author of the photograph submitted to the competition.
- IMAGES TO COMPETE
- A maximum of
three works in digital form will be allowed by subject / participant, obtained with any
type of camera (including mobile phones) as established
in these Regulations.
- The submitted images must
have, on the resolution of 300 dpi, the longer side between
30 and 45 cm and the smaller side between 20 and 30 cm. However the images are
evaluated after they have been printed in a format of 20x30 cm.
- The images, in color or black
and white, should be submitted in JPEG or TIFF format.
- Photos will not be accepted
with artistic touches that go beyond those for corrections
of brightness and / or contrast.
- The photographs must be
taken exclusively in the municipality of Crato and during the North
Alentejo "O" Meeting 2010.
- The photographs must come
identified with the title of each one.
- The photo(s) should
be accompanied by the personal data of the participant, to the mail
address: joaobrites.pt@gmail.com.
- JURY
- The Jury is composed by 3
elements and its composition will be released before the start of the competition.
- The Jury's decisions are
sovereign and solidary, appeals are not accepted.
- The jury reserves the right
not to award any of the classifications under Regulation
if it considers that the photographs submitted to the competition do not meet the
evaluation characteristics and classification of works set
by this body.
- AWARDS
- The awards are:
- USE OF IMAGES
- The authors of the photographs,
by participating in this competition, give, exclusively, to GD4C,
the rights of use, dissemination, distribution, communication
public exibition and reproduction satisfying promotional purposes
and / or cultural, without prejudice to the obligation to indicate the name of the photography
author, not being the promoters of the initiative required
to pay any remuneration to the author.
- The GD4C will always keep open
the dialogue when the author/s wish to use the images (with
final decision of GD4C).
- Participants guarantee
and blame themselves before GD4C for compliance with the provisions
on intellectual property and image rights over
submitted photographs, declaring, by participating, that his
difusion / or reproduction under this Regulation of the competition
not injure or harm others and take personally
the responsibility that may arise.
9.
RECEPTION OF WORKS
9.1. The Organization
of the Competition takes no responsibility for the works that
are not in perfect condition or that will go astray,
for reasons beyond their control.
9.2. The Organization
of the Competition reserves the right not to accept the works
that do not meet the conditions described in this regulation.
9.3. All Email received
will have a "receipt" of delivery as answer.

Participation in
this competition implies full acceptance of each and every one of the conditions
on these competition rules and the decision, without appeal, of the Jury.
