Location
The event will take place in Alter do Chão and surrounding area.
Alter do Chão is located in the northeast of Alentejo and encloses an area of 362km2 which is distributed by 4 villages (Alter do Chão, Chancelaria, Cunheira and Seda).
To arrive to Alter do Chão, coming from Portugal (north or south), the
highway A23 and the IP2 are the best choice. From Spain, the A5 through Badajoz is
the best choice.
The resident population is of 3700 inhabitants. Local economy is based on
agriculture and tourism, and the region is famous for horsebreeding and its high
school of horseriding.

1st Day - Medium Distance
Access:
The organization will signal the route from the center of Alter do Chão to the competition
areas.
Please note that car movement inside the village is very difficult because the streets are very narrow.
The itinerary shown is the only one that allows the buses to arrive at road 534,
but the organization recommends that all participants use this route.
For those who travel on the day of the event, Jan. 24th and come from north, the IP2, it is not
necessary to reach the town of Alter do Chão.
In Crato there will be signs to indicate the direction to the concentration (Hotel Rural da Lameira).
Please note that road 534 between Alter do Chão and the Monte do Poceirão and 1122 between Monte do Poceirão and Hotel Rural da Lameira are very narrow, so a careful drive is recommended to all drivers.
The distance between Alter do Chão and the Hotel is 21Km, with the last 3 kilometers of dirt road, so it is recommended to anticipate the time of arrival at the site.
Parking:
The parking will be made next to the Hotel Rural da Lameira,
where you'll find the secretary, computers, baby sitting, bar and so on.
Participants can not park near the Departure / Arrival (3 km) sites because
there is no space.
Participants will be transported by bus from the parking place / concentration by
order of departure.

1st Day - Night Sprint
Parking - It's recommended to park where indicated by the organization (square where the market takes place) in order to avoid congestion of the town center, where the departure and arrival take place.

Dinner - At the end of the sprint event, there will be a dinner meeting in the Municipal Market, like in the two previous editions.
2nd Day - Long Distance
The Long Distance event, is held in the Alter Stud Farm, which is situated 3km from the center of town, near the road used in the 1st day (534).
All the logistics infrastructure and departure and arrival places, are within the Stud Farm, concentrated in a relatively small area.
